How to Get High-Quality Photos for Marketing Products

Meet a Midwest photographer who specializes in producing high-quality, professional-grade images for Designers, Editors, Creative Directors, and Marketing Managers.

Dear Reader,

It worries me when I come across well-designed; well-written marketing products that are damaged by poor photography.

What could’ve been rated a 10 out of 10 is reduced to a 3 or 4.

What could’ve been a professionally created sales package is diminished to an amateur booklet.

What could’ve been a striking website that showcases a classy reputation, is weakened by poor lighting and inferior composition.

It worries me when I see marketing products with real potential filled with photos that are lifeless, monotonous, and uninspiring.

And it should worry you too because it affects your bottom line.

Why Do People Use Bad Photos?

I’m not sure if people really know they’re using bad photos. After all, you don’t know what you don’t know.

What I do know is, people try to do it themselves for various reasons.

Most organizations are simply trying to cut costs—which is an understandable reason. Budget drives many decisions.

Others may think they take good pictures, but reality doesn’t match their self-confidence.

And yet, others might actually have the budget for professional photography, but coordinating with a photographer might not work for them.

Most people don’t want to deal with:

Finding the right photographer for the product
Haggling about confusing price sheets
The back-and-forth about their vision versus the photographer’s vision
Prima donnas

So, if you look at it from the designer’s perspective, it’s quicker, easier, and less stressful to take the pictures themselves.

And I get it!

So, I’ve come up with a solution that I think will bring life into these marketing products without the headaches of hiring a photographer.

I’ll explain it in a second. But first, let me introduce myself.

About Matt McCoy

Hello! I’m Matt McCoy, designer, photographer, and owner of Framewrite Studios.

I’ve been taking pictures for various industries for more than 20 years.

I started my career as a graphics designer, and I’ve worked with many photographers to create marketing products.

Just like the example above, I got into photography because I was tired of messing around with my creative compadres.

So, if you’re developing promotional products, then I understand why you’re tempted to take matters into your own hands.

But before you do that, let me show you how I can help.

A Photography Bank for Designers, Editors, and Web Managers

I’ve created (and I’m continuing to create) an image portfolio with the designer in mind.

My vision is to provide a place where you can quickly find high-quality images for your marketing products.

These aren’t just point and shoot pics.

These are eye-catching…professional-grade photos.

I put a lot of thought and vision into each image I produce.

When I’m on a photo shoot, and I’m walking through a scene, I ask myself,

“What photos would the designer want me to shoot?”
“What kind of pictures would attract their audience?”
“What images would really make their products pop?”
“What would really sell their ideas…their products…and their services?”

And then I see it. I line up the perfect angles. I frame it just right. And click…click…click.

Once I upload the edited images to my online portfolio, they’re available for you to purchase, download, and use in any of your products.
